This November we invite you to step away from the challenges of life and experience the freedom, joy, and unity, of family life re-focused on Christ. Big families, small families, singles parent families, all welcome!

The Basics

Location: St Thomas More, Gloucester, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga

Starts: Friday night at 7pm with a session for mums, Saturday morning with a breakfast for dads.


What should I expect?

  • Mass, Reconciliation, Eucharistic Adoration and opportunities for Prayer

  • Formational talks for mums, dads, married couples alongside relevant age appropriate formation sessions for kids aged 0-18 years!

  • Family ‘team building’ sessions, where you can grow closer as a family unit …did I hear someone say SANDCASTLE competition??!!

  • A great weekend to hang out with other families!

Accommodation + Travel

  • Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday lunch all included in the base fee

  • If you are from out of town we have accommodation options on offer included in the base fee.

  • Make your own way to and from the venue and accommodation

BoB + lisa Perron

Bob and Lisa Perron have been married for over thirty years. Bob speaks nationally and internationally to youth and young adults alike. Lisa is the author of the fiction novel entitled Among the Reeds and they have co-authored a new book entitled When God Said No. Together the support and encourage couples who have struggled with infertility, are considering adoption, or those who have adopted. Three of their children are grown. They live in Florida with their two youngest children.

We are excited to have Bob and Lisa with us for the entire weekend to share their wisdom about how to live out the vocation to Marriage along with plenty of stories about the realities of family life!


Paulo + Malu Garcia

Paulo and Malu have been married for 28 years, have 4 gorgeous daughters as any parent would say.....and are constantly trying to improve and consider their marriage as an exciting adventure! Originally from the Phillipines and now proud Pinoy Kiwis, Paulo is the ‘new kid’ in parliament and the first MP of Filipino descent. They have been to the World Meeting of Families and are very passionate about good families being the foundation of society.

We are thrilled to have Paulo and Malu join us on Sunday for a keynote session.
